CORI™ – Robotic assisted (CT-free) Knee Replacement Surgery

Mr Waters is one of first surgeons in Europe trained in the use of the CORI™ and NAVIO™ robotic-assisted knee surgery system.

Unlike other systems, there is no need for any additional scans or exposure to radiation prior to surgery. The knee is mapped during surgery using a probe that creates a 3D image of the knee. Trackers monitor the movement of the knee and this information is fed back to the Robots computer “brain”. An accurate picture of the knee’s normal function can then be simulated and reproduced by accurately sizing and positioning the artificial joint with robotic-assistance.

Mrs JD underwent NAVIO™ robotic-assisted knee surgery with Mr Waters – see her story here!
